Very helpful. They can restring your instruments for the cost of the strings plus £10. They re-strung y daughter's 1/2 size violin and tuned it to perfection. This is a very fair price for an excellent expert service. I'll be using this shop from now on. Very professionally friendly staff. Family owned shop.
I've been wanting to get my partner a guitar for years. I walked in nervously and confessed immediately that I had no idea where to start. A lady called Carol came to my rescue. She was absolutely wonderful, she spent a very long time with me helping me find the right one. After a lot of umming and ahhing I purchased a beautiful guitar and my partner was very happy to receive it on his birthday.
Carol couldn't have been more helpful, she was so genuinely keen to help me find the right one without any rush. I absolutely 100% recommend. I wouldn't hesitate in the future to come back again.
Thank you so much. I will definitely be recommending to friends!

Thanks for your kind review! hope to see you soon The Music Inn > Took my 65' fender jaguar to the Music Inn for some TLC. I provided a replacement neck which had its frets dressed, refinished and suitably aged to match the body. Also had a mastery bridge fitted and the electrics tested, repaired where neccessary and cleaned.
Picked the guitar up today and I'm delighted with how it's turned out. The neck is EXCELLENT and it is set up perfectly.
I recieved regular updates throughout the process and Dan and all the staff in the shop were always welcoming and helpful.

Thanks for dropping in your guitar for a set up! Glad you like it. Enjoy The Music Inn > I have had two experiences with The Music Inn, both positive. The first was to purchase a used Collings acoustic guitar. I was given every opportunity to play the instrument and explore any faults it might have. I felt under no pressure to buy and any views held by the sales team about the instrument appeared unbiased and genuine. I bought it and have no regrets whatsoever. I was so impressed with the service that I took a used Martin guitar in to have the action lowered and new strings fitted. It really has made such a difference to play-ability and sound and I would recommend The Music Inn for its commitment in making this possible.
> I love this shop. They helped me buy my ukulele, and just gave me space to try as many instruments as I wanted in peace. On hand to help but in the wings, not in your face. I went to another shop in Nottingham and unfortunately I was not made to feel welcome to try anything at all, when I was asked my budget and didn't have a number. They put their cheapest in my hands and whisked the others away. I was left holding a beginners uke like the one I already had at home. At music inn, they let me try everything regardless of the price tag until I found the right instrument for me. I got the money together once I knew what I needed to find. Thanks Carole. Been coming here 20 years now! X
> I was served by a lovely lady called Carole. I am a first time guitar buyer, and after welcoming me to the shop, led me to the guitar section and left me to browse at my own leisure ( a welcome change). When I went to her for advice about my possible choices and budget, Carole showed me all the possible options, including ones less profitable to her. In the end, I got what I was after, a guitar that will serve me well, plus the accessories and free advice to help me enjoy it properly, all within my budget. Thanks Carole, I wish all shops gave this level of service.
> I love Music Inn. Whenever I go there the staff are always happy to have a conversations and answer any questions, as well as to let you try any gear that you have an interest in, and they do this without pushing any suggestions.
They offer very fair prices for buying and selling, and won't keep you in the dark about anything when it comes to repairs or custom modifications.
All of this, and they even offer a 2 year warranty on new gear, so if something goes wrong, they will be happy to make it right, for free.
The great customer service and excellent prices make Music Inn easily the best music shop in Nottingham.

>Wonderful shop with very friendly staff who have helped me select my Musical equipment as well as being extremely helpful when my speaker was faulty in which they provided me with a brand new product, very few shops remain with this level of customer service and I would recommend the shop to anyone into music, 5*

Thanks! Happy to get you sorted >Took my 7-string in to these guys to enlarge the pickup cavities and fit covered Bare Knuckle pickups. A time consuming job, but well worth the wait. The work was done to an outstanding quality, and as a result my guitar sounds better than ever. Very friendly and knowledgeable people, I would highly recommend The Music Inn!
> This shop has guitars that you will not see in any other stores around the area. From old skool guitars to a different varieties of brands it has a nice collection of guitars. Custom works on guitars is simply awesome here offering services that no other guitar shops around town will be able to do. Totally recommend it to anyone that needs any work on their guitar or simply looking for a less common guitar!
> This music store is my personal preference when I want to buy a new instrument, the people there are really friendly and there are a fair few gems that make there way on sale into their store.
I visit there weekly because I like the instruments that they get in and the environment of the shop is very friendly.
I have had 4 guitars since I started playing, all of those where from this shop and none of them ever let me down.
I would definitely recommend this shop, it's a bit of a walk from city center, but it is definitely worth it if you want good quality service.

>Great shop in Nottingham - popped in on the off chance of getting some small machine head washers to replace the hubcaps on my SG and Dobro. The kind people couldn't do enough to find what I was after....walked out with everything I needed and they fit great. £2 sale £2000 service! Thanks. Simon

Thanks Harry! Stocked up on Dadarrio 13s ready for you to rock! Thanks Music Inn > I would strongly recommend against getting anything repaired at the music inn.
I took in a Technics turntable to be repaired, and after a week was given a quote of £99, it was returned to me 2 weeks later and I paid for the repairs, only to realise when I got home that it had not been fixed. I returned it to them, and they sent it off again. It was returned to me 3 times while still broken, so finally I am left out of pocket £99 with no refund and a broken turntable.
This whole process took 8 weeks, and the customer service was pretty terrible the whole time (apart from the guy called Dan).

> Jazzmaster custom build
I've always wanted to assemble my own Fender Jazzmaster. For months Dan helped me talk through different options, working out what suited my preferences. He gave me invaluable input on the neck, pick ups and I went on to order the majority of the hardware through the store.
Once it had all arrived, Dan looked after the assembly including dealing with issues we didn't spot originally. He was always friendly and patient during my constant bugging through phone calls and emails. I now have a guitar that I'll keep with me for the rest of my life. I can't thank Dan enough and I have been recommending The Music Inn to everyone.

> I took my monitor speaker to the music inn to see if they could fix it for me which they said they could. I left it with them and their speaker repair man took it away to be fixed. 3 weeks down the line I had heard nothing so called for a progress report and to ask how long it would take. They had no idea and couldn't even tell me if it would be weeks or months. A few weeks later I went into the store and they told me that the repair man was still trying to get the circuit diagram for the repair. I understand that dealing with big companies like KRK (my speaker brand) can be difficult, but this was 6 weeks to get a diagram. Around 8 weeks down the line I now have my broken speaker back.
The shop itself looks great, but I would advise against using the speaker repair service. The overall service was slow, poorly organised and with little/no progress report offered to the customer.

> I came across The Music Inn about 7 years ago. Despite me only actually buying my first guitar from this shop a few months ago i've been in and out of the store for anything from strings, leads, recording equipment, parts for my own customisation projects, and much useful knowledge on various guitar related issues. The staff there have always been friendly and welcoming, helpful, and patient with me, never trying to push anything on me other than good advice.
They pointed me to an incredible Nottingham-based guitar teacher (Gary Fraser Lewis), helped me when I was building my own guitar, and when finally came the day I recently walked in and saw an absolute beauty of a guitar - a natural amber Gretsch G5422 which sounds incredible - they were patient with my various questions about different possibilities for tone and volume pot to replace the stock set-up. The work I decided on was done quickly and with great skill by their resident guitar tech, Dan.
One of my favourite music shops and I hope to give them much more business over the coming years. You should too!

> what can i say about these guys and girls...
well i've been going to this wonderful place since i started playing guitar around 4-5 years ago and they've always been close to my heart on the matter.
Fun, friendly and fantasic sum up the staff and the selection of gear is nothing less then impressive.
from vintage Gibsons and Ricky's to Moden Ibanez's, Deans and everything in between.
this is the best guitar shop i've ever been in, and i've been in a fair few, trust me.
on the subject of equipment, they don't just stock guitars, Keyboards, Drums, Amps, Basses, Pedals, Pick Ups (with install service if i'm not mistaken) and much more are all avalible here.
and what's more, they get to know their regulars, as soon as i walk in i'm greeted by name and a quick "how are you?" from both sides.
all in all, Music Inn and the staff have been a huge part of my guitar life, every single piece of gear i've bought from them works flawlessly and i've gotten to know them so well i feel like i'm cheating if i buy from anywhere else.
1,000,001/10 guys and girls, keep up the good work!
